It is sometimes difficult to pin-point the exact start of journey. Do we begin at the very beginning - seven years ago when the first skaters came together with Grant as their coach and Cutting Edge was born? A key moment for sure, but let's start at the 2022 New Zealand Ice Figure Skating Championships in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland because it's a very good place to start!

Now led by Megan, coach for four years, Cutting Edge ethos is to consider the whole person and the whole team. Time, energy and attention is directed at the physical, mental, emotional and relational wellbeing of all (te whare tapa whā). So here we are, out for a walk and picnic in the Hūnua Ranges as part of the team's prep for Nationals. Has everyone's feet really left the ground?!

Jump!

Putting in a personal best performance at Nationals was the culmination of hours of training, making mistakes, making improvements, and commitment to teamwork. The scores that Cutting Edge achieved at Nationals show how strong the whare walls are for this team!
